They are close to Penge, Crystal Palace, Anerley, Beckenham, Bromley, Dulwich, Catford, Lewisham, Brixton and Croydon, and near to stations with a 15 minute journey time to central London.

(No cooking facilities in these rooms but suitable for light breakfast or to be reserved with a studio). (£210 per week low season rates). All above prices for up to 2 people. Extra person £70 each per week or part week.

Telephone with dial-up internet access in each room. Calls are charged at 10p per unit - incoming calls and all other line usage is 5p per minute. Free Wireless Broadband Access.
Rooms have en-suite shower, WC and basin, remote control colour television, direct dial telephone with dial-up internet access, hairdryer, trouser press, generous wardrobe/drawer space, dressing table/desk area, dining table and chairs. The zip and link beds provide super king size double or twin beds to suit your requirements. (The studio couch can be converted for a 3rd bed). An additional bedroom is also available.
The kitchen area is equipped with sink unit, family size refrigerator, microwave/grill, boiling rings and all the necessary crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. It is suitable for preparing and cooking simple meals, or alternatively cooking/heating pre-prepared foods which can be purchased from the nearby shops and supermarkets.
Single Studios have small fridge, microwave, boiling ring, toaster and ensuite or private facilities also T.V, telephone etc.
There are pubs (providing food) and restaurants close by plus a variety of home delivery services. A local supermarket is open until 8pm Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on Sundays. Towels and linen are provided and rooms are serviced weekly. There is a laundrymat nearby.
The house is close to two British Rail stations, each about 6 minutes walk away, with a minimum of two trains an hour from Penge East and every 10 minutes from Sydenham to and from Central London. Victoria and London Bridge is a 15 minute journey, Waterloo East and Charing Cross 20 minutes.
Charing Cross in the heart of London, is adjacent to theatre land and trains return here until late - well after evening theatre performances have finished. Both lines connect with the Thameslink service. Kent, Surrey and the South Coast are easily accessible.
Daily travel cards can be purchased from the local stations costing about £5.20 per day for adults. Family cards at greatly reduced rates. These allow travel after 9.30am on trains, buses and underground, throughout 4 London Travel Zones (a radius of approximately 12 miles from Central London). Weekly travel cards allow travel at any time on trains, buses and underground and cost about £30.00 for adults. You will need a passport size photograph for these. Additional savings can be made on monthly travel cards.
Alternatively you may be able to purchase from British Tourist Offices abroad, or your travel agent, 3,4, or 7 day travel cards which cover 6 London Travel Zones (20-25 mile radius from Central London). These also allow you to travel at any time.
Off street parking is available at no extra cost.
How to make a reservation
A non-returnable deposit of £100 is required on each room for each full or part week to secure a reservation. The outstanding amount should be paid in full upon your arrival here. When more than one room is reserved full payment is due 4 weeks beforehand. In addition to settlement for the reservation, a security deposit of £100 on each room will be required upon arrival. See security deposit return.
Cheques & International Money Orders should be in £ Sterling made payable to K.L. Thompson, and drawn on a Bank in London. International Money Orders can be arranged through your bank. For late reservations monies can be wired to my bank account. We now accept the following credit cards, MasterCard, Visa, Visa Delta and American Express. All payments made by credit card are charged at 2% extra.
Check-In Time
Please give an arrival time, at least 3 days beforehand, within a 2 hour period, between the hours of 2pm and 11pm, or state the time your flight lands or ferry docks and at which airport or port - (provided you intend to travel straight here). I can arrange for your collection by car from the airport (Gatwick £36.00, Heathrow £45.00).
Please make your reservation from the previous day if you want access to your studio before 2pm on your day of arrival.
Check-Out Time
At an appointed time between 7.30 am and 10 am. You will be expected to leave the studio clear of all rubbish / litter (bins and plastic sacks are provided) and near to the immaculate condition in which you will find the room. For earlier departures we reserve the right to forward deposits or part of the deposit. Alternatively an extra charge of £10 is made for a check-out between 6 am and 7.30 am.
My cleaner will strip the beds, vacuum, dust and polish the room, but all crockery, cutlery, pans, kitchen surfaces, sink, microwave oven etc must be left in clean condition. Should this not be the case, an amount of between £10 and £15 will be deducted from your deposit to cover additional cleaning costs. This charge will be at my discretion or at that of my appointed representative.
Security:
You will be responsible for ensuring the studio room windows are properly closed during any period you are out of the room, and also that the front door of the house is kept locked as you leave or enter the premises. You will receive a studio room key and a front door key to allow you to come and go as you please.
Security Deposit Return:
Subject to the above conditions, you should expect your deposit to be returned, less the cost of telephone calls, breakages, damage, and cleaning if any. Should your telephone charges reach £30 during the course of your stay, this will be payable immediately.
Your deposit will not be returned if you smoke in the room
Notes
Trains for Penge East on the Beckenham Junction and Orpington line usually leave from platforms 2, 3, or 4 at Victoria British Rail Station (check indicator board)
Only Penge East and Sydenham Stations are close by - NB..... LOWER SYDENHAM AND SYDENHAM HILL STATIONS ARE NOT CONVENIENT
