Welcome to the Dolphin Inn Guesthouse. We have been operational since 1998 and cater for local and foreign businessmen, travelers and tour groups. We are ideally situated on the seafront in Mouille Point, opposite the famous Robben Island and a short walk from the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.

Enjoy beautiful walks along the promenade, watching sailing boats, cruise liners and sea kayakers passing by, while dolphins and whales are also frequent visitors to our shores.

Clifton and Camps Bay beaches are 10 minutes away and we are on the main bus route between Camps Bay and the Waterfront. Also within walking distance - Virgin Active gym, tennis courts, Metropolitan golf course, putt putt, the oldest working lighthouse in the country, several top class restuarants and coffee shops and a laundry.

The Cape is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Africa, combining spectacular scenery, white beaches, mountains, forests and winelands with a vibrant and uniquely cosmopolitan culture. A FEW RECOMMENDED ACTIVITIES
Victoria and Alfred Waterfront
A working harbour originally built in 1860. One of the biggest attractions offering a variety of restuarants, pubs, a brewery, shopping centres, craft markets, cinemas, live entertainment, jazz, boat trips, the SA Maritime Museum and the Two Oceans Aquarium.

A Peninsula tour, taking in the following:
TABLE MOUNTAIN, 1134m above sea level and home to over 1470 species of plants, may of which are endemic to Table Mountain such as the Silver Tree and Disa.

CAPE OF GOOD HOPE - CAPE POINT, proclaimed a nature reserve in 1938, it encompasses 7750 hectares of rich and varied flora and fauna, with 40 kilometres of coastline.

KIRSTENBOSCH GARDENS, which is situated on the eastern slopes of TABLE MOUNTAIN, boasts 528 hectares of idigenous flora, scenic mountain trails, several hundred bird species, Cape foxes, mongooses and the rare Cape otter.

CHAPMAN'S PEAK drive into HOUT BAY, where the harbour retains the old world atmosphere of a traditional fishing village, beautiful beaches and restuarants. Take a boat trip to Duiker Island, which supports about 600 000 Cape Fur seals, the largest colony in the Western Cape.

SIMONSTOWN, where the SA NAVAL BASE is situated and BOULDERS BEACH, famous for its thriving colony of Africa penguins and wind sheltered, safe beaches.

ROBBEN ISLAND, is where Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years of incareceration.

WINELANDS TOUR - Wine production in SA dates back to 1659 and there are currently 14 wine routes to explore, stretching from the coastal regions along Hermanus to the mountainous Stellenbosch and Franschoek and further inland to Paarl, Worcester, Grabouw and Tulbagh areas. World class red and white wines, ports, brandy and home grown olives and oils!
